My Grandmothers maiden name was McComb. Her full name was Ruby Mae McComb(1911). Her fathers name was Charles Henry McComb (1868) and her granddfathers name was Thomas McComb (born 1840). We are visiting Scotland on June 5th, 2018. I am hoping to visit some of the clan lands.

Hello! I've just submitted my application and thought I would introduce myself here. I was born a Thomson, live in the UK, and have so far traced my father's family back to Kircudbright (John Thomson 1821-1887) - Well, I know when his father was born, also a John Thomson, in 1785, but I've not been able to find out where. All I know is that he married an Elizabeth Churnside. The family tradition of passing female maiden names down the female line as a middle name was very helpful when I began researching - there are two Alice Churnside Thomsons but sadly neither (that I've discovered) had children so the name seems to have died out in our family. Luckily a cousin (his line named all their firstborn sons James) has sons so not all is lost! I'm very curious about why my great-grandfather's middle name was Kinghorn (first name James) - I know Kinghorn is a place (have been there) but I'm wondering if there is a female with the maiden name somewhere further back down the line - would love to hear from anyone who might be able to shed some light!
I'm looking forward to finding out if we are indeed Clan MacThomas - since the home page notes that not all Thomsons are!

Marion Thoms is my maiden name. I am German and live in Germany near Frankfurt am Main. Since several years I was searching for my roots without any result. A few days ago I found your homepage by chance and I cannot tell you, how excited I am. My immediate feeling was that I belong to this clan and I will continue to read about its history. I am interested to become a member of the society and will also contribute with (few) information about my family. Best Marion

I am a former member of the clan. I stopped my dues because of economic hardship. I am interested in renewing my membership, if you would allow me.
I live in the US....but don't know or have the current Clan USA secretary's name and address. Could you help me connect to them...and you? THANK-YOU SO MUCH! ~David C Tam, Oklahoma~

I thought I'd joined, but I haven't got a log on code yet, so I'm using this. You'll find my family tree in genealogy, and me listed as a member from England. Be advised, I came here forty years ago to get work. Now I would like to go home. I want to build in Glen Isla. Any suggestions ( Helpful ones I mean).

Greetings Clan!
I hail from Australia and am from the McCombie family whom migrated over 50 years ago (John McCombie is my wonderful grandfather). We are originally from Aberdeenshire and our family history is astonishing! Tree has been traced to the 7th Century. I am saddened that I missed the silver jubilee. I would love any/ all / some more information or contact from abroad. My grandfather is 86 now and whilst still spritley, has aged quickly in the last year. I would love to reach out and bring him some news from home. He tells me of a family castle "Balfluig" which I believe was sold last century.
Kind Regards,
Jessica Goldstone
